FAQ

Thinking about working together?
Here are a few questions people often ask before getting started.

Getting Started

How do I get started?

Simply get in touch and tell me a little about your business and what you're looking for. From there we can chat and figure out the best next step.

I’m not sure what I need yet… is that a problem?

Not at all. A lot of clients start there.

We can chat about where your business is at and figure out whether you need a full brand identity, a brand health check, or something smaller.

What do you need from me to get started?

At the start we go through a discovery phase where I learn about your business, goals and audience.

It’s basically a deep dive into what makes your business tick so the design isn’t just pretty… It’s purposeful!

Process & Timeline

How long does a branding project take?

Most brand identity projects take around 2 to 4 weeks. That gives enough time for proper thinking, exploration and refinement so the final result feels right.

If you’re working to a deadline or need things sooner, I also offer Fast-Track Branding. This is a more focused timeline where we move through the process efficiently while still giving the project the attention it deserves.

How involved will I be in the design process?

You’ll be involved at key stages, especially discovery and feedback, but I guide the creative direction.

There are also refinement rounds built into the process so we can adjust things if needed, although we usually land on the right direction pretty quickly.

Branding & Design

Do you only design logos?

No. A logo is just one piece of the puzzle.

I focus on building a full brand identity so everything from your website to packaging to social media feels consistent and recognisable.

What’s the difference between a logo and a brand identity?

A logo is one element of a brand. A brand identity is the full visual system including colour, typography and design principles. This ensures your business looks consistent and recognisable everywhere it appears.

For example, the logo of Apple is the apple symbol. But their brand identity includes the minimalist design style, clean typography and sleek product packaging.

Imagine walking into a shop with the Apple logo on the window, but inside the space is cluttered with neon signs and posters. Even though the logo is technically correct, it would immediately feel wrong. That disconnect is exactly why brand identity matters. It keeps everything feeling aligned and trustworthy.

What makes a strong brand?

Clarity, consistency and confidence. My three big C’s. When strategy and design work together, people instantly understand what your business does and why it matters.

Do you work with existing branding?

Absolutely. Sometimes a brand just needs refining rather than starting from scratch.

A brand health check can highlight quick improvements, or I can design new materials that work seamlessly with your current brand.

Practical Details

How much does branding cost?

Every project is a little different, so pricing depends on the scope. Once I get a feel for your business and what you're trying to achieve, I’ll send over a tailored quote.

Sometimes I include a couple of options so you can decide the level of depth that feels right for your business.

Will I own the final designs?

Yes. Once the project is complete and the final balance has been paid, you’ll receive the final files to use across your business.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. Most projects are handled remotely through video calls and email, so location isn’t a limitation.

What happens after the project finishes?

You’ll have everything you need to confidently use your brand moving forward.

I’ll be cheering you on from the sidelines, but if you ever need help with new designs or updates in the future, I’m always happy to jump back in.

About Working Together

What types of businesses do you enjoy working with most?

I love working with people who genuinely care about what they do.

The best projects happen when someone is passionate about their business and excited to share it with the world. That energy always translates beautifully into the brand.

Do you take on every project?

I take on projects where I genuinely feel I can help the business.

If something isn’t the right fit, I’ll always be honest and point you in the right direction.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. Most projects are handled remotely through video calls and email, so location isn’t a limitation.

Still have a question?

Feel free to get in touch. I’m always happy to chat and point you in the right direction, even if you’re still figuring things out.
